Senior officials from the Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) led by Dr. Ezoe Satoshi, Director of Global Health Policy Division, International Cooperation Bureau, and a team from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), paid a working visit to the Institute. 

The visit was to inspect GAVI’s operations and strengthen partnerships and build interest for future collaborations

The delegation included Mr. Yoneda Makiko, Deputy Director of Global Health Policy Division, International Cooperation Bureau, Mr. Masao Takahashi, Head, New Investors, Private Sector Partnership and Innovation, Mr. Chika Kitajima, Senior Manager, Resource Mobilisation, Private Sector Partnership, and Innovation and Dr. Ahawo Komi, Senior Country Manager, Cote d’Ivoire.

The Director led the Noguchi team to interact with the delegation. Both sides anticipate a more fruitful future collaboration as a result of the productive encounter.
