The National Influenza Center (NIC), at the Institute held a 3-day training workshop on manuscript writing at the City Escape Hotel in Prampram, Accra from 15th to 17th February, 2023.
The purpose of the training workshop was to develop draft manuscripts from data generated under the influenza surveillance program.
To build the teams’ capacity in manuscript writing, they were taken through different aspects of manuscript writing and scientific publications.
The group was tasked to complete at least four manuscripts by the end of the workshop.
Dr. Ivy Asantewaa Asante, Research Fellow at the Department of Virology at the Institute reiterated the importance of the workshop as it served as a learning curve for the team in their line of work.
Prof. William Kwabena Ampofo, Technical Advisor to the team was in attendance to support and encourage the team for their hard work.
