Prof. Dziedzom K. de Souza Appointed Co-Chair of Global Alliance to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis

Professor Dziedzom K. de Souza, a distinguished researcher and Head of the Department of Clinical Pathology at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR), University of Ghana, has been appointed Co-Chair of the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis (GAELF).

The appointment is a recognition of Prof. de Souza’s contributions to biomedical research and his work in the fight against neglected tropical diseases, particularly lymphatic filariasis.

As Co-Chair of GAELF, Prof. de Souza will contribute to global efforts to strengthen collaboration and accelerate progress towards the elimination of lymphatic filariasis as a public health problem.

The Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research congratulates Prof. Dziedzom K. de Souza on this significant appointment and wishes him every success in his new role.
